The Cybersecurity Job Market is Booming.

The demand for Skilled & Certified IT Professionals is outpacing supply.

Every study published in 2017 indicates a shortage of skilled IT and Cybersecurity talent. IT leaders report the surge in demand is rapidly becoming their #1 business problem.  Employment of IT professionals is projected to grow 12% year over year through 2024. This is faster than the average for all occupations and is expected to account for well over 500,000 new jobs in the U.S.

The BLS also states that the average income for computer and information technology occupations was $82,860, which is higher than the median annual wage for all occupations.   Global demand is expected to rise to 6 million by 2020 – and 1.5 million of those will remain unfilled due to a lack of qualified candidates. According to ISACA, 83% of 2017 cybersecurity job postings require at least one certification. Experienced IT workers looking to specialize in cybersecurity roles are also needed; on average, cybersecurity professionals receive a 9% salary premium compared to other IT workers.
